Open Studio with Carin Bildt – 15 August

At Flat Octopus, we enjoy meeting artists right where their ideas are taking shape. Spending time in their studios, in their natural habitat, lets us see how they work, what they’re experimenting with, how they approach their process, and what inspires them. It’s a way for us to connect more deeply and have open, engaging conversations.

We are happy to continue our OPEN STUDIO event with CARIN BILDT. Come join us to discover her practice on the 15th of AUGUST from 15:00

The evening will feature an artist presentation, informal discussions, and plenty of questions, both from you and from us, with a mingle over drinks and snacks.

You are warmly welcome!

Address: Uppköparvägen 7, Årsta. Take tram 30 to Årstaberg station; the address is approximately a 12-minute walk from there.

!!Important!! We will gather in front of the building between 15:00 and 15:15 and go up to Carin’s studio together, so please be on time!

FACEBOOK EVENT

CARIN BILDT explores mental states shaped by grief, where stillness and sorrow coexist. Through painting, she creates metaphysical spaces that reflect psychological and emotional landscapes suspended between comfort and unease. Architectural elements such as staircases, doors, and glimmers of light recur throughout her work, giving form to otherwise intangible inner experiences. Many works are veiled with semi-transparent chiffon, softening colour and contrast to evoke the hazy, dreamlike quality of memory and grief while responding to changing light. Carin Bildt (b. 1989) lives and works in Stockholm.
