At Supermarket 2022 Flat Octopus presents Spanish visual artist Juanma González and Swedish painter and ceramicist Tilde Hansen in the exhibition Landscapes of other places. Through drawing and ceramic painting the artists reminisce and remember, creating nostalgic landscapes of things past, or never realised.

Juanma González (b.1977, Madrid) is an artist based in Stockholm. His work combines experimental and traditional practices – drawing, photography, site-specific installation, together with performance, art intervention and creating walking routes. González uses walking as a method of knowledge and art production. He received an MFA from the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm in 2016, and is a co-founder of artist-run collective Flat Octopus

Tilde Hansen (b.1995, Stockholm) is a Swedish painter and ceramicist based in Stockholm. Her work explores themes such as memory, nature, nostalgia and perishability through intuitive painting and materiality. Hansen’s work lies somewhere in between the two- and three dimensional, exploring what defines painting and sculpture. She graduated with a Bachelor in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm in 2021.

Supermarket – Stockholm Independent Art Fair is an art fair for artist-run galleries and other artists’ initiatives. The goal is to provide a showcase of artist-run spaces from all over the world and create opportunities for new networks on the Swedish and international art scene. It is an art fair that strives to offer the visitor an experience rather than focusing on sales.
